Critical Care Fellowship Program (ACGME)

Overview – Critical Care Fellowship (1 year)

We are happy to offer an ACGME-accredited standalone 1-year Critical Care (CC) Fellowship under the umbrella of our distinguished PCCM Fellowship Program to meet the interest for critical care training for physicians who have a background in a non-pulmonary medical subspecialty. We can offer one dedicated CC fellowship spot per year. Requirement is the previous completion of a 2-3 year ACGME-, AOA, ACGME-I, or RCPSC-accredited subspecialty in internal medicine (e.g. nephrology, infectious disease, cardiology). The curriculum focuses on a robust and intensive critical care experience, including rotations in the medical intensive care unit, the cardiothoracic and cardiac ICUs, the surgical/trauma intensive care units, the neurologic intensive care unit. Fellows obtain additional experiences on bronchoscopy, PFT and advanced lung diseases, and consultative rotations. Graduating fellows are board-eligible for the ABIM Critical Care Board exams.
